About a week ago, my sweet bride-turned-friend, Kaitlyn, texted me saying that they had just received the heart breaking news that their dog, Bailey, had just received a cancer diagnosis. She wanted to book A Goodbye Family Session with me to document precious Bailey before she got too tired and sick and of course I got them in my books!

Kaitlyn and Kevin were married a few months ago at Rusty Tractor Vineyards in Little Rock. I got to do their engagement photos, Kaitlyn’s bridals, their wedding, and now a very special family session for them. A big piece of my heart is for my wedding couples who trust me over the years with their most special and precious memories.

A little over two years ago, Anthony and I received very similar news about our beloved German Shepherd, Kylo. So I could relate to Kaitlyn and Kevin and my heart goes out to them and Bailey.

For their session, we went out to Kaitlyn and Kevin’s home where Bailey could run and play with their other sweet dog, Ellie. We were blessed with a gorgeous, sunny, early spring day. Bailey loves to play fetch with her ball and jump into the lake, she also LOVES her humans and her little fur sister. I’m so honored to have been able to photograph sweet Bailey for Kaitlyn and Kevin.
