Molly and Sterling are one of the sweetest and most precious couples I’ve ever photographed together. This Grandeur House Wedding is a big time favorite day EVER. Not only in my career, but in life – I just thoroughly enjoyed this day so much. Getting to see so much genuine love and happiness amongst the newlyweds, their family and friends has made me feel so blessed. This job blesses me every single time.
Let’s go back to their 2022 proposal. Molly to Miami in February of 2022 to start a new job at Everglades National Park. Sterling had to stay back in Little Rock for a couple months to finish his clinical and sell his house. He joined Molly in Florida in May of 2022 and they planned a little weekend getaway to Key Largo to celebrate being back together. There was a lunar eclipse the first night of their stay. Molly was really excited to see it, but it had started raining and was too cloudy to get a glimpse, so she went to sleep. Sterling woke her up at midnight because the storm had blown out and they had a perfect view of the eclipse. They walked down to the beach, and Sterling proposed under the stars and the full moon total lunar eclipse. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! This may be my favorite proposal story EVER!
Sweet side note – Molly and Sterling booked their venue (The Grandeur House) in February 2022 – BEFORE Molly moved down to Florida. They knew they were in it forever – and that a proposal would come after a little while – but I love that they booked their dream venue in plenty of time to get a gorgeous spring date!
Their wedding day was nothing short of perfection. While we were getting ready for the first look, I took Sterling upstairs in the loft area to get him ready – and I asked how he was feeling. His answer melted my heart. “I feel good! It’s like we’re married already.” And MAN were they sweet together.
Molly and Sterling had friends and family show up from literally all over the US. During the reception, Molly’s dad made a beautiful toast and asked the guests to raise their hands if they were from Little Rock. A few raised them up. Then he asked to raise your hand if you’re from out of town/out of state and I’d say about 80% of everyone’s hands went up in the air. Molly and Sterling are SO loved by their tribe and they sure showed up for them.
In true Arkansas fashion, we had some wacky weather on their wedding day. It was raining and cloudy early in the morning – followed by overcast/gloomy clouds. We were able to take gorgeous portraits indoors during their first look so I know we were all grateful for the gorgeous indoor space of The Grandeur House! THENNNNN – we were blessed in the evening because the SUN made a gorgeous appearance and we were able to sneak Molly and Sterling outside for a few portraits in the gorgeous glow. I honestly couldn’t have imagined a more perfect day for this precious couple. Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Steed!!
