Katie + Adam: Legacy Acres Wedding

If you know Katie and Adam Shipman – then you will understand me when I say – we LOVE and ADORE Katie and Adam Shipman. I’d been looking forward to their Legacy Acres Wedding since they booked with me about a year and a half ago and it couldn’t have been more amazing.

Katie and Adam got engaged on Sept 12, 2021 at Sassafras Vineyard in Springdale! They were visiting Katie’s best friend and of course Adam got her help in planning a few things. It was such a gorgeous sunny day and afterwards they drank and enjoyed some wine together. Later that night, they went back to Katie’s friends house and they threw the newly engaged couple an engagement party!

I remember feeling Katie and Adams light and love when we got together a year ago for their engagement session, which was so fun and sweet – they even included their sweet pups! So after that, I was so excited and eager for their wedding.

Katie and Adam are so loved. Friends and family showed up to their Legacy Acres Wedding with so much love and support for these two. Katie had 3 precious first looks. One with her bridesmaids, one with her dad, and one with her brother (spoiler alert – he cried 🥺) then Katie and Adam opted not to have a first look, but instead had a first touch at the entryway of the Legacy Acres Chapel where they would soon exchange vows and rings and be married!

I know I raved all about Katie’s wedding dress in her bridal session blog, (check it out by clicking here if you missed it) but seeing her in that sparkly dress again was such a joy. And she had the most perfect and gorgeous accessories to compliment, one of them being her moms beautiful bracelet that she let Katie wear for the wedding. When Katie got ready and into her dress with her mom and maid of honor, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. It really is such a joy and privilege for me to get to be part of these moments in people’s lives.

Adam had the sweetest reaction to seeing Katie walk down the aisle. Katie’s sweet mom, dad, brother, and bridesmaids all wept over how much they love Katie and how truly radiant she looked – and how happy they were for her and Adam that day. It was truly the best day for the best couple.
