Laney and Joshua are one of those couples that I will always remember. When I think about my career as a wedding photographer, I know these two will always stick out in my mind. They’re so kind and sweet, they’re very genuine, and not to mention – their family and friends welcomed me at their wedding day with open arms like I was part of the crew.
There were several elements and details about this day that struck a cord with me! Laney and Joshua met at The U of A – they were lab partners! Well Joshua’s cuff links on his suit were engraved with GPS coordinates to the U of A! And on top of that, Joshua’s grooms cake table was filled with Razorback cupcakes to commemorate The U of A! Also – a moment that made me tear up was during Laney’s first look with her bridesmaids, her sweet friends presented her with a custom photo book that they had made – which is a tradition amongst their friends group to do for each other at their wedding day!!
During their wedding ceremony – the pastor asked for everyone in attendance to reach a hand out towards Laney and Joshua to pray over them which was so sweet and powerful.
During the reception – Laney shared a dance with her step father, as well as other sweet and important men in her life since her dad passed away. There’s no doubt that Laney and Joshua’s dad’s spirits were with us that day.
