Jake & Brittany are a dream couple. They came in from Dallas for their Hot Springs wedding, but I knew they wouldn’t have had it any other way! Brittany has so many fond memories of going to Anthony Chapel with her grandmother. Read what Brittany had to say about their decision to get married at Anthony Chapel…
“I have family in Hot Springs and have grown up visiting the Anthony Chapel and a part of me has always dreamed of getting married there. After my grandma recently passed away, there was no better place in my mind than to get married at the beautiful glass chapel and make my dream even more special.”
Her story about brought me to tears before I had even met them, and I knew Brittany and Jake would be something special. It’s no doubt that Brittany’s grandmother was there with us. From the location they got married, to the jewelry that Brittany wore on her wedding day, which had belonged to her grandmother. Brittany honored her grandmother and I know she was smiling down on them. It was just so incredibly apparent that family meant EVERYTHING to this bride and groom. And their sweet family and friends made me feel like part of the crew all day.
In true Arkansas fashion, we were watching the radar and praying the rain and storms away. But a little rain (and maybe a smidge of heat) couldn’t stop these two and their sweetest family and friends from showing up and having the best day ever, and celebrating Brittany and Jake all day. There were happy tears all day, from sweet and sentimental first looks between Brittany and her dad, Brittany and her bridesmaids, Jake and his niece (you’ll want to see those images!), and then one of the sweetest groom reactions as Brittany walked down the aisle to Jake in Anthony Chapel. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Even Brittany’s daddy was a little misty eyed.
Brittany and Jake had two amazing venues for their Hot Springs Wedding. The ceremony at the infamous Anthony Chapel, and their reception at The Reserve. Locations for portraits were in no short supply, and we were chasing the sun as we finished out their photos before the reception started. It was the sweetest destination wedding for these Dallas residents, and most of their family and friends were from out of state too. What a sweet day for one of the sweetest couples. Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Gandy!
