Hannah & Asa’s Hot Springs wedding was a dream come true. In fact, Hannah’s mom and I had been in touch about their wedding before Hannah & Asa were even engaged. After Hannah saw wedding photos I took of Mary & Carson Chandler, Hannah fell in love with my photography and knew she wanted me for her own wedding one day.
Hannah’s mom sent me a message on Instagram and we were in touch for a few weeks leading up to the proposal! Hannah’s mom, Jennifer, said they aren’t engaged yet but a proposal is coming! So to see the wedding day come to life, was such a fun and long awaited journey and it blows my mind that I get to be part of this for the sweetest couples like Hannah & Asa.
Hannah’s parents started going to their church in the late 90’s. Asa’s family as well. So Hannah and Asa grew up in the same church and always knew of each other but never spoke until high school. Hannah’s grandfather used to love to carry her and her twin sister, Halle, around the church and show them off. He was so proud of them! I know they were so happy to be able to get married at their church. Hannah’s aunts had previously gotten married there, as well as Asa’s sister.
Hannah knew she wanted a bright and minimalistic wedding and to help with that, her sweet fiance at the time, hubby now of course, changed out the lightbulbs in the church from orange tinted ones to that soft natural light color which was SO sweet. The pastor that was in the church when Hannah & Asa’s family joined in the 90’s passed away a few years ago, and his granddaughter was Hannah & Asa’s flower girl. We know Pastor Tim would have been absolutely elated to see Hannah & Asa get married there in the church, with his sweet granddaughter as the flower girl. There were SO many sweet sentimental details that went into making this church wedding so special. I just love it.
After their church wedding, we drove over to Crystal Ridge Distillery for the party and MAN – Hannah, Asa & their friends know how to have a good time. Be sure to make it to the very end of this blog post for a special treat! Hannah had her mom’s dress altered and redone into a reception dress for her – which you will see in the sparkler send off photos!! I adore Hannah & Asa AND their families and precious friends. What an amazing way to end my Spring/Summer 2023 wedding season.
