Emery & Hunter’s early May wedding at Alda’s Magnolia Hill was just the most amazing start to a busy spring/summer wedding season. We know it’s springtime in Arkansas when we have 3 torrential downpours before their outdoor ceremony – but praise God, the skies opened up and the sun peeked out just in time for portraits and the wedding ceremony. Sure made for an interesting start to our day!! Hah!
We started the day at Emery’s parents house where upon my arrival, the girls had just finished hair and make up and were enjoying some downtime in their CUTE pj’s. After a few pictures of the girls hanging out, I drove through one of the 3 rainstorms to Alda’s Magnolia Hill so I could get flatlay photos for Emery and Hunter, as well as photos of her GORGEOUS wedding dress hanging up!
We took some beautiful sunny portraits of the bridesmaids and groomsmen before the ceremony started, and then man… let me tell you about that ceremony. It was something out of a romance/fairytale novel. Our groom, Hunter, entered the ceremony by canoe across the pond at Alda’s. Our stunning bride, Emery came in with her dad on a horse drawn carriage (yall be sure to check out Hunter’s reaction.. one of the sweetest I’d ever seen!) And the first event Hunter and Emery did together as husband and wife was the releasing of doves.
After some bride and groom portraits and wedding party photos, we entered into a sweet reception for Emery and Hunter where they shared the sweetest first dances (I may have cried), we ate a delicious dinner catered by the amazing Crave Catering, they got to visit with all of their family and friends and enjoy some cocktails made by Tipsay with Lindsay, throw a bouquet and do a garter toss, with a grand bubble exit with a vintage car. Fairytale material? I think so.
Emery + Hunter – I adore you two! Your families are the sweetest, and your friends made me feel like one of your own! Here’s to forever!
