I am SO in the mood for a sweet engagement session with a super sweet story… and I hope you are too! (I’m assuming you are since you clicked on this!) After having to reschedule once due to, oh, I don’t know, possible TORNADOS, I was excited that a week later, we were able to photograph Caroline and Pace’s Clinton Library Engagement session!
I feel like I have so much I wanna tell y’all about Caroline and Pace so just get cozy! These two met at the beach about 8 years ago… and they both happened (thank God!) to be from Little Rock! Caroline was down there with her friend group, and Pace was down there with his friend group. The friend groups knew each other, but Caroline and Pace did NOT know each other (yet!) But they met one day when they decided to all hang out, and started dating on vacation in Florida!
We walked the grounds of the Clinton Library, getting all of the best and prettiest spots for their photos, so we had plenty of time to talk and I love getting to know my couples as much as possible so then I asked for the proposal story and y’all, it’s so sweet! Pace proposed to Caroline this past Christmas! They were opening presents at Caroline’s moms house and Pace said “I have one more for you in the car!” Caroline THOUGHT it was a gift from Pace’s grandmother because his grandmother had told Caroline she sent a gift for her with Pace! (There was no gift from grandma – but she was in on it to help keep Caroline surprised!!) When they came back in from getting the gift from the car, Caroline’s mom and sister had left the living room and Pace proposed to her there on Christmas!
Towards the end of our session, I asked if they wanted to walk down to the memorial walkway path on the water and Caroline said – that is actually a memorial dedicated to my grandfather. I said “NUH UH!!!” (Okay I did believe her… but how cool is that!!) She explained that her grandfather owned the construction company that BUILT the Clinton Library. He passed in 2007, and they had the memorial built for him! There’s a statue of him and everything!! Is that not neat? I love that we did their engagement pictures at one of the spots that her late grandfather built with his construction company.
Caroline and Pace are set to get married this year on October 26th at her family land in Newport, and I’m already just so excited. They’re a great couple and when I got home I just prayed and meditated on how good God is, giving me this career where I get to meet amazing people and serve them in this way! Much love to Caroline and Pace – and y’all will be seeing them again on the blog after her bridals and their wedding!! Happy Wednesday!
