When I say sometimes I meet a couple and become instant friends – I’m referring to couples like Pieper & Cole. They’re sweet and so endearing – and I’m pretty sure they could talk to anyone about anything and make you feel like instant friends, just like they did with me!
For their Garvan Gardens engagement session, we spent the afternoon walking around the gardens, checking out all of the gorgeous spots! The hydrangeas were showing OFF for us last month!! We ended the session over by the infamous Anthony Chapel – where these two will be getting married in September! (Woah it’s getting so close!!š)
Pieper and Cole have such a sweet proposal/engagement story, and Pieper was kind enough to send it to me to share with you all! She even included a picture that a family member or friend took from the proposal! Check out what Pieper had to say…
“Itās funny because we were visiting my parents in Minnesota for Christmas and New Years and while I was home I had an ENT appt since I donāt live there anymore. Two days after Christmas my mom asked if we wanted to go see Samās Christmas Light Show in Wisconsin and of course I said yes.Ā
I went to my appointment with my mom and ended up having surgery on my nose to help me breathe better and when we left I had cotton balls in my nose to stop the bleeding. My mom was like oh my gosh you feel terrible we arenāt going and I was like no Iām good just let me fix my makeup and hair for pictures.
So we drove to Wisconsin with my whole family and Cole, my fiancĆ©. It was freezing and my nose was bleeding so Cole kept helping me wipe it for the pictures. I joked with Cole when we first got there that it would be an amazing place to propose. We walked for a long time looking at the lights and taking pictures. We came across a big LOVE sign and Cole wanted to take pictures in front of it. My mom asked us to take our coats off since we didnāt have any without them. Meanwhile, Iām still clueless and thinking that it was just a good idea.
My parents were taking a bunch of pictures and next thing I know Cole is on one knee and Iām jumping and crying and nose bleeding and it couldnāt have been more perfect.
Cole has always been the most thoughtful and thorough guy I know and the proposal was perfect. I loved that my family was included, the ring is GORGEOUS, and we all went out for an amazing dinner afterwards.
The next day Cole had planned a surprise engagement party with my mom and all my besties. It was all pink and every detail was absolutely perfect. I have the best fiancĆ©, family, and friends!”
Pieper & Cole – I adore you two. Can’t wait to celebrate with you in September!
