Who knew that their career paths would lead them to find each other? Julia is from Atlanta, and Matt is from Arkansas. While pursuing their careers in medicine, they found themselves in North Carolina. And I love this… they met playing on a winter frisbee team! They came back to Arkansas to get married on Matt’s family farm- which is a photographer dream by the way… trees, beautiful light, rolling hills.
Between the location, Matt and Julia themselves, and the outpour of love from their family and friends – I found myself enjoying every second I spent with them on their day. I love how Julia and Matt had their sweet friends and family all come together to make their day possible. Matt’s mom and his nieces and nephew made their wedding cakes, Julia’s sister did her hair (which I’m OBSESSED with that bridal ponytail and braids!!), Matt & Julia’s friends made their floral arrangements and decorated their arbor, Matt’s best man and groomsmen preformed live music at the reception – and so much more!
The weather was perfect, the sun was out, and everyone showed up for Julia and Matt. One of my favorite moments of the whole day was when Julia’s father sang “You Are My Sunshine” and played his guitar during the wedding ceremony. And then I’ll never forget riding around with Matt and Julia on their “gator” during golden hour – laughing and taking ALL of the sunset portraits. Good days like this are my reason. I have so much love for these two. They’re the type that you meet for the first time and they welcome you into their friend circle like you’ve been there all along.
