Hayley and Jake’s Little Rock Engagement session was so sweet and fun!

“This summer on July 13th, 2024 Jake proposed and it was the most surprised I have probably ever been. Jake and I have been together since February of 2020 and I knew we would get engaged my last year of pharmacy school. We had planned to get engaged then so we could get married after I graduated, but I wasn’t sure when exactly he would do it. Since I go to pharmacy school in Little Rock and he works in the opposite direction, we usually only see each other on the weekends. When I was talking to Jake earlier that week about what our weekend plans were, he said he got a call from a guy he duck hunts with and he wanted him to go out to the farm and measure for some seats in a duck blind. I also didn’t think anything of this because it’s not unusual for Jake to do stuff for the duck club to prepare for next season. The morning of July 13th I woke up, got ready and we planned to eat lunch before heading out to the farm. When I got to Jakes house I could tell he was nervous or off in some way. We went to eat lunch and he hardly ate his food and I remember repeatedly asking him if he was okay. He kept saying he was fine but I felt like something was up…like maybe he might be proposing he was so nervous. After lunch we took the back way to the farm and just rode around like normal. We even pulled over and shot at some gar in a ditch hahaha! When we got to the farm we headed out to where the duck blinds were and when we came around the corner I noticed a random car just parked. I was worried someone had gotten lost or something…well little did I know it was a photographer. Jake pulled over and asked me to get out with him real quick and when we did I saw the photographer jump out of her car and I knew. Jake said the sweetest words and surprised me with my dream ring!! I don’t remember much but he did start with “I know this isn’t the most glamorous place but it’s my favorite place and you’re my favorite person.” I instantly started to cry happy tears and said yes of course!!! I was in complete shock!! Then when we got back home our families were waiting on us and the house was all decorated. My mom had a white dress for me to change into and the festivities began! A couple hours later all of our friends came to celebrate. It truly was the best day and I can’t think of a more perfect proposal! It was so special and I can’t wait to spend forever with him!”
