When you photograph weddings where being around the bride, groom and bridal party make you feel motivated and inspired to be even more steadfast in pursuit of your relationship with Christ, you know you’re doing something right. To know Reisa and Spencer is to love them. Hands down one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever gotten to meet. It was absolutely an honor to photograph their wedding at Kindred Barn a few weeks ago. This was my first time out to Kindred Barn – and I want to go back ASAP! It’s simple, modern, light and bright and it’s complete DREAM!
Back to Reisa and Spencer – there were so many heartfelt moments throughout their entire day. Back when Spencer started saving for Reisa’s engagement ring, he started writing letters to her in a journal that he gifted to her on their wedding day. That notebook was FULL – front to back – of sweet letters that he wrote to her over the course of about a year. I said ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! That’s one of the sweetest things I had ever seen. Reisa and Spencer also had a private moment before their wedding ceremony with just the two of them. They did a first touch (holding hands back to back without seeing each other) and exchanged vows privately and prayed together. Tears of joy were flowing. And before Reisa walked down the aisle, her and her bridesmaids played one of their favorite worship songs and praised The Lord before the ceremony started. The Lord was so present on their wedding day which was the most important to Reisa and Spencer. We got dreamy sunset portraits in the vineyard (yall know by now I’m a fan of sunset portraits in a vineyard) and it was the best of best days.
